In Self Globe, we’ve been always thinking about the good of the planet and we do it by paying attention to the choice of the materials we employ to make our products and trying to sensitize customers to the use of renewable sources.
From 2020, however, we have decided to make our commitment concrete by fully embracing the Treedom initiative and joining their agroforesty project. We are their partners.
We have already buyed 10 cocoa trees and planted in Cameroon. Thanks to Treedom, the farmers who take care of our plants are able to face with the costs of the initial planting and have an income opportunity. Each time we buy a plant it becomes part of the tree register: it has specific coordinates for localization and the managers personally undertake to send us photos during all their growth phases.
Our goal? To have soon a Self Globe forest where trees have the name of our customers. Each of our customers who have purchased our products.
Innovation and sustainability. These are the aspects that we try to make co-exist in the choice of materials for our modular structures.
The spread of Covid-19 has completely disrupted the world economy, but not all sectors have been affected in the same way. The challenge now is to adapt to the ‘new world’ and the different conditions we are experiencing.
The virtual seminar organized by the Department of Agronomy, Food, Natural Resources, Animals and Environment (DAFNE) of the University of Padua was held on Friday 23 April 2021 and saw Self Globe and its activities at the center of the event.
