The ancient heart of Visso, struck by the terrible earthquake of 2016, managed to restart. Five activities come back to life creating the first Eco Mod Village and new employment. Its flavors and its excellence return to have a home, thank to 34 supporters, leaded by the entrepreneur Pier Luigi Loro Piana, promoter of the initiative.
It is a very modern structure, safe, anti-seismic and it is made with the use of traditional materials (iron, reinforced concrete, wood) and innovative solutions as the modules. It is also energy efficient with 500 square meters of commercial space and about 4,500 square meters of industrial area around.
Self Globe, thanks to its builders and specialized partners, has contributed to the realization of the entire project by offering the complex under construction its technology, the most innovative and cutting edge in the agro-food sector. These are 12 modular communicating systems that form a sort of small agri-food village, specially designed to be used as laboratories; each one provided with specific machinery for the type of transformation to be carried out within them.
The center “La Compagnia dei Maestri Artigiani di Visso” collects the La Filanda Restaurant, the butchery and pork butchering Calabrò, the pastry shop Sibilla, the butcher shop Troiani and the estate Scholastics with the cheese survive. These activities were able to start again almost two years after the violent earthquake that devastated their land and their lives.
Choosing Self means relying on modular structures that are versatile, economical, quick to build and safe, in compliance with the regulations in force in the field of hygiene and safety for operators.
Eco Mod Village is a complex project which aims to enhance the local economy and bring all its people back to work. The foundation stone was laid in February 2018 and the entire center opened its doors to the first customers in September of the same year.
The products are sold both on the territory and through an e-commerce platform, to open their distribution to the national and international market.
