Produce meat locally and then export it to the various countries of the continent. The challenge? Get to sell up in Equatorial Guinea. This is one of the objectives behind the creation of a partnership between the “Sahélienne des Viandes” and the Charcuterie Moderne company, in Burkina Faso.
Together, these two companies have devised and studied in detail a project that allows them to improve local production in compliance with high hygienic standards to put on the market quality products that are at the same time safe for health.
The systems are developed on modules, each of which is specific for each type of animal. Built and assembled in Italy, they arrived at their destination ready for use. The containers were put into operation by one of our specialized technicians who went to the site providing assistance and transferring know-how. The various slaughterhouses (cattle, sheep, pigs …) are perfectly compliant with the regulations and respect the rules of hygiene and health and safety for operators.
The initiative has a strong impact on health.
In Burkina Faso, in fact, various diseases and the high mortality rate can also be traced to the quality of the meat since it comes from continents of which neither the traceability nor the production methods are known.
Producing quality meat, distributing it to adjacent areas and contributing to food security were the reasons that led the investors of the two companies to enter into an agreement and carry out such a broad project.
